The State of Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf and on behalf of all the citizens of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania would like to acknowledge and welcome 2018 Deaf Disc Golf National Championship which will be hosted in Allentown, Pennsylvania. See below for his letter:
It is my please to join with the Deaf Disc Golf Association (DDGA) to welcome everyone gathered for 18th National Deaf Disc Golf Championship.
Our commonwealth relies on the strength and initiative of its citizens to create communities where everyone can enjoy life. Since 2001, the DDGA has upheld its mission to provide disc golf programs for the deaf and hearing-impaired to achieve stability, independence, and community through the hosting of local and national tournaments, allowing deaf people from all over the world to participate. This year’s National Deaf Disc Golf Championship in Allentown will include athletes from all ages, displaying attention and dedication to the needs and best interests of people with hearing disabilities. Pennsylvania is proud to host this outstanding event, and I am confident that the outstanding example that this organization has set forth of leadership and compassion with continue to inspire others for many years to come.
As Governor, and on behalf of all the citizens of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, I am thrilled to welcome you to the 18th annual National Disc Golf Championship.
